At Yoli, we love a good transformation story, and we’re excited to share one with you today! We featured Candace’s transformation on our Facebook page, and we reached out to learn more. We asked her some questions, and this is what she had to say!
When did you start with Yoli?
I began my Yoli journey on February 12, 2014.
What made you decide to get started?
My college roommate, Jeanie Fountain, knew I needed a transformation. I had gained 50 pounds and had no energy. I needed a lifestyle change.
What is your favorite thing to eat on Protein Day? What about Meal Day?
My favorite Protein Day food is bell pepper chicken nachos! Yum!
On Meal Days, I love BLT salad with spiralized cucumber, homemade mayonnaise, garlic powder, shredded cheese, a little bacon, and tomato!
What’s your favorite Yoli product?
Hands down Passion! I think Strawberry Kiwi is my favorite flavor, but I love all four flavors. Passion gives me the energy I need to teach all day, get my 5 to 10 miles in, and still have time for my daughters!
What obstacles did you encounter on the BBS and how did you overcome them?
Obstacles were meal preparation and planning. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. Salads in a jar, grilling on Sunday evenings, and taking all food with me to work for the week really helps me stay focused. Also, our online community support and gatherings is great for new recipes and ideas for foods. Our meals are never boring!
What helped you be successful on the BBS?
My friends and teammates! We celebrate together and are an amazing Yoli Family! I am at 55 pounds lost! Also, the customer service and materials make the program so easy to follow!
What advice would you give to someone starting out on the BBS?
Meal preparation is key. You should never be bored with your foods—switch it up and rotate those food choices!
How has your life changed since you started your transformation?
My life has been completely transformed! I have visited the Yoli House- truly life changing! I have found my energy and happiness again. Yoga and 1000 intentional miles per year have been added to my fitness routine. The friends I have made, the confidence I have gained, and the lives of friends and family that I have transformed are my most happy changes. I was able to visit my childhood friend and start her as a business partner- Yoli reunited us!
I am not only lighter physically—I am lighter emotionally. Before Yoli, I was merely existing. When you take care of yourself, you can better care for others! I am a happier mom and teacher with Yoli, and that impacts so many others!
Is there anything else you want Yoli Nation to know?
I am ready for Mexico in March! I have never been able to attend a Yoli destination/incentive trip and this will be my first!
Yoli family: you all inspire others daily! You truly never know how many lives you touch—keep sharing!
Finally, Yoli means to live, and it has taught me to live exuberantly!
